5th grade spelling

This week's spelling packet is week 17. If we raise enough money for the Sasse Fund Raiser to have a no homework day, the packet will be due on Monday. The test will still be this Friday.

Reading

The sixth grade reading group is working on "Where The Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls. This story is about a boy and his relationship with his dogs. The heart warming story continues throughout the book with a little twist at the end. Once you've read this story you will never look at a boy and dog relationship the same again.

Reading

The fifth grade students are reading "The Sign of the Beaver" by Elizabeth George Speare. This book is about a relationship between 12 year-old Matt and and Native American brave named Attean. As the boys get to know each other Attean learns to speak English while Matt becomes a skilled hunter. Throughout the time, the both learn about the others cultures and how they differ from their own.

Spelling

Fifth grade language arts is working on spelling packet for week 17 this week. We will be taking the test on Friday over this list. Remember to study as this list is a little tricky.
